What you need to bring:
You will need to bring food
and drink and appropriate clothing. Coffee is provided on most ocean
charters, but not on guided trips. Please dress for the weather; wear warm
clothing in layers. It is cold in the mornings and you may remove layers as
it gets warmer during the day. A stocking hat or scarf to block the wind is
also recommended.
All ocean charter boats have
restrooms and cabins but when you are fishing you will want to be out on the
decks to catch all the action. Bring warm clothing and boots, as the
mornings are cool. Guide boats do not have bathrooms onboard, but some do
have port potties. Depending on the location fished, guides can at
times run clients to a nearby Park or marina to use the facilities there.
Most guide boats have a top for inclement weather.
You will need to buy a
one-day fishing license and appropriate tag prior to your trip (available at
Oregon fishing charters office). Many A & B Pro Guides also
sell them onboard purchase
online.
To help avoid sea sickness
on Oregon fishing charters always get a good nights sleep the night before your trip. Eating a light
breakfast will also help. If you are prone to sea sickness you may want to
take a Dramamine tablet the day before your trip. In order for Dramamine to
work properly you must take it the day prior to your trip.
