Willamette River Spring Salmon ( March-May )


This is a fantastic fishery that's close to Portland and provides some of the best eating fish of the year -- Spring Chinook. These fish are packed with large amounts of heart healthy Omega-3 oils and make for excellent table fair. Peak fishing is typically experienced late March through early May. Seats for this popular fishery fill months in advance so book early.

 Columbia River and Willamette River ( April-May )
Shad fishing on both the Columbia and Willamette begins in mid April and runs through May as millions of American Shad move up river. Popular locations to catch shad are the Willamette River at Oregon City, 10 minuets from downtown Portland, and below Bonneville Dan on the Columbia River.  Willamette River salmon peak season - March though May.
